In 2008, I created a series of paintings I called Talisman. I used 18″ x 24″ canvases, designing them to have a chalkboard space and a square surface for oil and collage. There are twenty-four pieces in this collection – six with black chalkboard paint on top, six with black chalkboard paint on the bottom, six with green chalk board paint on top and six with green chalkboard paint on the bottom. Once I mapped out that construction, I gave each painting a border as well. I used a ruler and other devices to measure out the compositions adding text in chalk that would eventually erase.
Art can be fleeting just as emotion is a kind of journey with turns and changes along the way. Everything changes.
These paintings are for sale for $200 each. They are unframed.
