I created these paper collage pieces one winter when I couldn’t paint due to my small space living arrangement. I was able to work on them while sitting on the sofa in my living room. I love them because they incorporate a number of devices I’ve used in my oil paintings – sea shells, playing cards, skeleton keys and coins – as well as utilizing my fashion design background with the sewing craft.
They are cats, although you could argue they look like dogs, too, and that’s fine. I used Strathmore paper and metallic embroidery thread.
I’m selling them for $75 each (unframed).
