One Thin Dime

Found this 1965 dime in a parking lot yesterday.  Now up to $3.25 in found money for 2025.

Paper Currency

This happened today!  Yes!  I found a dollar bill on the ground.  This morning we had our first frost of the season so – this is pretty f-ing miraculous.

Now up to $3.15 in found money for 2025.  That’s on the low side compared to previous years, but I’ll take it!

Magical Money

Just as I was thinking my money finding well was running dry, I found these two beauties.

Now up to $2.15 in found money for 2025.

Finding money is magical. <3

Productive Penny

Today was a productive day:  banking, car shopping, a gorgeous hike once the sun came out AND I found a penny!

Up to $2.09 in found money for 2025.

Skaneateles Six

I found six cents in Skaneateles, New York!  A penny and a nickel in two different locations on the ground/sidewalk.

I’m now up to $2.08 in found money for 2025.

Found Money In & Out

A penny in the park and a penny in the grocery store.  I am now up to $2.02 in found money for 2025!

Doubled

In the past month, I have doubled my found money income!  I am now up to $2.00 in found money for 2025.  My favorite is the sixty-five cent spill.

A Dollar Earned

I found a nickel on the floor of the restaurant last night right before I met some high school friends for dinner.

I am now up to $1.00 in found money for 2025.  I found almost $9.00 last year (total haul).  How much can I find in six months?

Rochester $

There was a quarter in the credit card slot of the parking machine thingy in Rochester!  After the last found money post, I started to doubt that I would break a dollar in finds for 2025.  But now I have six months to find five cents and that seems entirely do-able.

Officially – I am up to ninety-five cents in found money for 2025!  How much have you found???

Seventy Cents

When I found this penny, I had that weird feeling that I was in a parallel universe.  It looks like a 1943 steel penny in color but, of course it has the shield on the back indicating that it is a newbie.    And the truth is that there’s little to no copper in these – they don’t last long in the wild.  They disintegrate!

I am now up to seventy cents in found money for 2025.

I read that article from the web about the U.S. plan to stop manufacturing pennies.  Is that a hop, skip and jump to us not using money anymore at all?  Will pennies still fall from heaven???
