Over Eight
I found twenty-six cents yesterday! I am now up to $8.52 in found money for 2024. How long do you think that 1967 quarter and the 1956 penny have been waiting to be found? I was on Westcott Street in Syracuse, New York. Or did a time traveller drop them a few minutes before I found them????
The New Chapter Begins
I was at the grocery store yesterday and when I was about to begin a hike today I remembered that I’d left my umbrella on a shopping cart.
After the hike, I returned to the store and inquired at customer service and – good news – my umbrella was there! In addition, the September issue of Syracuse Woman hit the stands and I’m in it! I’m a Mover & Shaker!!! So cool.
And, this happened…
One euro, $3.10 in Canadian coins and eight cents more including a 1943 steel wheatie!
I am now up to $8.26 in found money for 2024. Pretty great start to the new chapter in my life. #nobacktoschoolforme
Godzillas & New Money
Kathy treated me to an evening at The New York State Fair.
We saw dinosaurs and godzillas of the animatronic and rock star varieties.
And I found a shiny penny. Now up to $4.08 in found money for 2024.
Renaissance
It’s a good day for a good day.
I went on two errands today – I received an Indian head penny in my change at the first location.
Then I found a penny at the second location! I am now up to $4.07 in found money for 2024.
Back at the studio I worked on a new series of paintings. They are 8″ x 8″ butterflies. Not finished but here is a preview.
Butterflies represent a rebirth. A renaissance. Past-present-future. It’s perfect.
Such a good day.
P.S. I will be at the gallery at AFL Studio (301 E. Seneca St., Manlius, New York) on Friday, August 23, 2024. I might pop by tomorrow if I have time.

Another Nickel
As a creature of habit, I am frequently on the same path. The day before yesterday and the day before that times infinity, this nickel was not there. I found it yesterday face down so I turned it around for the photo because I wanted to see the date on it – 1968! How cool! Thanks, universe.
This brings me up to $4.05 in found money for 2024.
