The V-neck cashmere sweater paired with a leather skirt is a marriage made in fashion heaven! Worn with a bootie and one of my handmade bracelets, this look was my uniform last week. It was a theme I will revisit again and again. <3
Students are working on papier-mache sculptures (donuts, owls) and colored pencil drawings. The Studio in Art students just finished glazing their clay projects and now they are about to do still life paintings with acrylics. We are having a lot of fun making art!
I dressed for comfort last week. Separates featuring leather and T-shirts. Four classes finished a clay project, two are using colored pencil and two are painting. I found my denim apron in the big cupboard by my desk while looking for something else. Yessssssss – because things are about to start getting messy.
Most of the boxes on the back counter are filled with the new glazes I’d ordered. Many of the items I purchased for this year are on back order though. I can’t remember what I have planned for tomorrow, lol. When I planned ahead, like, you know, in August, it was with the notion that the supplies would be available – but no biggie. It will all work itself out.
P.S. My clothes reflect the art – Sugar Skulls are a theme. Also: Butterflies. <3
Spring 2021 has a T-shirt and skirt vibe – with boots in case of rain. I love the comfort of this look – the crew neck looks best on Zoom video. It does feel like a style that is the most “me” :cotton top/leather skirt. Masks not optional – yet.
I know – I have a lot of sweaters. I keep them in two cedar chests. Pullovers in one, cardigans in the other. I am in love with Theory right now. The cashmere is luxurious!
This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for on-line shopping. And of course, for all the wonderful people in my life including you. I feel incredibly blessed – thank you, thank you, thank you! <3
The Tashkovski Collection is officially launching on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 5 – 8 pm at The Chop House on Waring (200 Waring Road, Syracuse, New York 13224 – (315) 445-1976). The event is called Sip & Sparkle and will include twelve local vendors. They will also have a Wild Turkey bourbon tasting and some appetizers. It is going to be a lot of fun!
I had a poster made and some postcards. The bracelets are photographed, catalogued and tagged. I have a Square reader to process debit/charges. I am ready to be ready (which means ready, I think).

Here are the latest pieces. These leather bracelets feature vintage pins manufactured in Estonia circa the 1970s by a tin toy company called NORMA. I scoured the world looking for them. I’m in love with them! The are handmade, one-of-a-kinders. I know you will fall in love with them too. <3
Theory cashmere cardigan, BCBGMaxAzria dress and pants, Marc Jacobs booties, Tashkovski bracelet
Theory sweater, Joe’s Jeans leather jeans, Nine West booties, Tashkovski bracelet
As I sit here writing this post, I am wearing the outfit pictured above. These leather jeans are like butter (butttaaaahhhhh….). And the cashmere tunic sweater is perfect-o. Such is the problem of a fashion blogger – how do you continue to wear newbies in the real world and not your very favorite pieces? How to you mix it up to keep it all fresh?
I guess keep doing what I am doing as long as it is fun? I must be a fashion role model for someone out there.
More bracelets. My dining room table is the bracelet factory. These are from the ethnic series, meme series and horses! All are leather with fur (rabbit and sherpa). Rebecca from Tandy Leather taught me how to add snaps. Bracelets fit 5 1/2″ to about 6 1/2″ wrists. The ones that tie have eighteen inches of suede string attached, so they can fit a larger wrist.
Mine is 5 1/2″. I took a poll of wrist sizes via texting a bunch of friends to get a sense for what was standard. Bracelets really need to be tried on. They are infused with positive energy – you kind of need to feel the vibe. It will be so cool when they find permanent homes. They are like foster kittens. Kind of hard to let go…but I think I am ready to be ready (to be ready) to sell them. <3
These Tashkovski collection bracelets are part of the War & Peace series. They are made with vintage US Army patches and pins. There is a Girl Scout patch in the mix (it is from the ’50s!) and a peace pin that was originally designed to protest war. The idea with these pieces is to respect everyone’s position. I truly admire those who serve our country.

Ultimately, peace is the goal. Find peace within yourself first and your world will change. I promise you that. <3
I have been working on photographing, pricing, labeling and cataloging the Tashkovski collection bracelets. Here is the group I just finished – a combination of cameos, vintage pieces and St. Christopher medals. Each is one-of-a-kind. Handmade bracelets created with pins in leather, rabbit fur and sherpa.

I have a bit more organization to do this weekend before the launch. Once I get it all sorted, I will free up time to make more (and start the process all over again). <3
