I am very pleased to announce that I have just returned from installing my art exhibition (and sale) at the East Syracuse Free Library (4990 James Street, East Syracuse, New York 13057).
My series of two dozen encaustic trees are here, as well as two dozen heart paintings. All are encaustic and collage. Stands are not included in the price of the work.
This show will be on display during May and June 2026.

Monday – Thursday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Fridays 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
I bought more frames. I spent the day reworking then framing the encaustic & collage target paintings, the ones that I’d created last year. They are 5″ x 7″ hardboards mounted on 8″ x 10″ chalkboard. I will photograph them tomorrow then post the results.
I boxed up (with the boxes from the frames) a bunch of books I’m planning to sell, part of my attempt to purge/de-clutter – I’m in the process of getting rid of things stored in the basement to make room for more art storage. Eventually, I will sell more art thereby having space to make more (or buy a bigger house).
I also finished my third reread of The Alchemist by Paul Coelho. I will be writing a book report in a bit – I need the experience to digest. It felt different this time because I have had more life experiences and am more attuned to esoteric language.
In addition, I’m preparing for the art show at East Syracuse Free Library. I created the information sheet/price list. The installation is scheduled for May 1, 2026. The plan is to show the encaustic trees AND the new encaustic heart paintings. They will be resting on table easels and displayed at the top of the bookshelves.

Penny came by today to collect my painting, CAMARADERIE. She’s going to deliver it for me. The new art exhibition at Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Women. Art. Voices., begins next week with a reception on March 6th, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. The show runs through March 28th.

On Friday, I dropped off my butterfly paintings for the exhibition at Art Haus Syracuse. The show starts on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, which is also the date of the art reception – February 28, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. That show ends on April 4th.
So, I have two art shows in March. I will have a solo show at East Syracuse Free Library during May and June 2026. I’ll be displaying my new encaustic trees series at that show.
Today I started working on another set of encaustic heart paintings. I created a new heart stencil. They are 5″ x 7″ and I am planning to mount them onto 8″ x 10″ chalkboard.
What you are seeing here – not done! No – this is just first passes of color plus the colorful rice papers and origami papers.
What I’m loving right now is how they are both familiar and fresh/new. I have enough colors to fill five pancake griddles. When I first started with encaustics, I only had one griddle! The devices I add to my paintings has also expanded so this series is different, challenging and so fun! I love making them and I love love. <3

I took a road trip to the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (137 East Avenue, Rochester, New York 14604) because today was the first day to peruse the annual 6 x 6 fundraiser.

My holiday merchandise is ready for tomorrow night’s Sip & Shop event at AFL STUDIO, 301 E. Seneca Street, Manlius, NY 13104. I think I will be sharing my gallery space with the Apricot Lane proprietor.
There will be a Botox medical professional and a “permanent” jewelry business there as well as light food and drinks.
I will be there at 3:45 PM, if you would like to come and shop early. Hours for this party – 5:00 – 7:30 PM.
I created notecards that double as holiday ornaments and other special things including one hundred twelve hand painted postcard paintings of angels. Prices are as marked on the package. My jewelry collection is all marked as well. The 36″ x 36″ oil and collage paintings are only $800 and the 18″ x 24″ oil and collage paintings are only $200. The encaustic hearts with the stands are $75.
I will try to get my Square card reader operational to take charges. You can also pay cash or use PayPal or Venmo. Will I have cash to make change? IDK.
